poor chap, having a good time
now kena stuck
Hi,
Went for a short trip round the neighborhood for a shot. It's been a very long time since I last shot so getting a bit rusty. It was around 7pm when I saw these 2 daylight moth mating.
Shot with different settings:
Then when I can hardly see through the viewfinder and was packing up to go home. Something rare happen. A lynx spider attacked the 2 moths and somehow they are stuck together so the spider basically got 2 for the price of 1.
You can see the second moth struggling hard to break free here.
But ultimately, they're stuck for life. Here's the ending and my fav shot of the whole series.

Wah, soul leaving the body. That's something I have not thought of. Anyway, I was abit shock to see this when it happen. One of the moth was facing the spider when it was approaching them so I thought it would have seen it and fly away. Who knows it didn't. And the bigger surprise was when the second moth tries to fly away and is stuck to the first. Darn! Life is hard for this bugs.

A great story series, what a pity for the moth. Quite sad to see such a series but it's the work of mother nature.
Thanks for sharing the series.
Cheers!

Yeah, that place if filled with spiders. I must have seen at least 10 spiders on that trip alone. Most of them I didn't shoot - too small, too fast, etc.
