DISCUS!!!
well, how big is your tank?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Yeap, it's impossible to recommend anything without knowing the tank setup.
Besides the size, indicating if it is planted or non planted, the type of gravel, type of filtration would be useful.
A list of other fish in the tank should be included in the tank setup info. I already have a lot of ideas- but alot of mine will probably eat shrimp and other small creatures. There are alot of beautiful fish such as the blue rams and Discus that can be very shy unless the tank is well planted and calm... Of course there are always exceptions.

Breeding golden snakeskin guppies
- Gouramis
- Bettas
- Angel fishes
- Discus
arowana That's if the tank is huge.
A small shoal of largish fish like rainbow fish or spotted headstander will look nice.
they're one of the most peaceful and shy gourami species you'll ever encounter. very very good for a community tank
however you might want to be careful with the shrimp...
get a pair or trio, they get spooked really easily by fast or large fish and they hide behind foliage a lot.
read an article somewhere that they can even be scared of larger tetras.
A pair of red Apistogramma agassizii. (Pictures are male)

I'll go for SA dwarf cichlids (apistos, rams, etc..) anytime!

well my local shop did not have so much choice, so i went for 2 simple colourful guppies. they share the tank with some neon tetras and angle fish (small angular shape). 2 of these angle fish are picking on one of the guppies and trying to nibble its under fin. anything i can do to help the very annoyed guppy that never has a minutes rest!!!
Syburn - It is quite a dismay to know that despite reminders from some who have posted that information such as tank size and current inhabitants are to be taken into account, you have ignored such considerations and went ahead to get guppies in a tank consisting of angel fish (and probably not a large enough tank too?). It is a little late now to request for advice on how to relieve your guppies which are now living miserably under the constant nipping of the Angel fish...

my female gourami is super aggressive
attacked my guppies and mollies
slightly smaller one got their head rip off...
Different gouramis will have different levels of aggression, especially on the species level, but also on an individual level. To hear that your gourami killed your smaller fish doesn't surprise me much... especially when people buy a fish without researching. (No- I am not totally innocent here ) I've had a gourami that could only be kept by himself and some corydoras. But that doesn't mean that all gouramis are mean and nasty- many of them like the pearl gouramis and honey gouramis do very well in a comunity setup, provided that they are well taken care of. Having alot of plants (live or fake) helps them alot in terms of shyness.
You still havn't said how big your tank is... and how big are these angelfish? They will get a decent size if they live long enough. Big enough to swallow small tetras whole. They are beautiful fish, but remember that they are predators. ??? Are you thinking of giving them up? Because angelfish are a great centerpiece fish (provided their considerations are accounted for otherwise you get heartaches).
