    hello everyone,

i am helping someone with his tank problem. his tank water has a white tinge that makes it look blur and cloudy. it is not green water. can it be insufficient mechanic filtration?

what comes to your mind first when you encounter this problem?

more like a bacterial bloom. off hand solution: water changes, good filtration, fast growing plants, and take out the luohan.

Just taking a wild guess with that. But the other points should apply. Is it a new tank?

Ya, can we assume that it's a new tank? did your friend wash his/her gravel before adding in the water? may want to use a water-clarifying medication? for the tank, but use it sparingly - if you have fish in the tank they may gasp for air - be prepared to change water if this happens. Once the water has been cleared, wash the filter media after you've used it.

Otherwise, can try Geoliquid for planted tanks.

Yeah, is it a new tank that is still cycling? How old is it? If it is, sometimes just leave it and it'll clear on it's own.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

    hello everyone,

it is actually an old tank. specimen tank for water lilies. she said that it occurred after her chiller broke down. after she got it fixed and running, the problem still persists. she has to change her water every 2 days. situation not improving.
    Thanks for helping out.
any ideas what she can do? TIA

    Hello all,

forgotten about something. recently she just changed her filter medium. her filter is a power head with a "cylinder" connected at the bottom. the "cylinder" contains all the filter medium. if you know what i am talking about.
