1hr before lights on will do. Btw i just dose as i like.
With co2 on 2hr before the lights comes on, when would be a good time to dose daily ferts ? Same time as lights comes on or anytime ?

I dose when the light is off, because the light is set to turn on during office our. So the only way to dose it is either the night before or early morning before I go to office
I dose when i wake up before i go to work in the morning

so no best time to dose? i was wondering, since uptake of nutrients is during when lights are on, wouldnt dosing when lights go off or nearing the end of the photo period causes a limitation ?
if you're following EI dosing, i don't think you will face a limitation no matter what time of the day you do your dosing, considering that you're generally dosing to excess when doing EI and more likely than not you'll never hit limiting levels (hence the weekly 50% water change to dilute concentration).
however, the idea time if your tank isn't in excess of nutrients would of course be before the lights come on so that your plants will start their day with all the nutrients available
even if your tank isn't in excess of nutrients, I do not think dossing time will be matter because whatever fert you dosed will not be use/absorb by plants until photoperiode right?
The plants do absorb nutrients even during light off. During light on, potassium + CO2 is needed more for photosynthesis generally.
I myself dose K during lights on, the CO2 reacts with it since Brighty K/equivalent is slightly alkaline.

Very interesting topic
Any one here using auto dosing pumps here? Just wondering if a smaller dosing of say 4 times a day will make any difference
thanks all for the reply, just trying to find out if theres is a relation on nutrients uptake with lights, since im now noticing rotalas actually curved upwards when "sleeping".
Justin had a nice reply on that topic. go look for it.
