I bought PVC mesh to grow some moss in my thank. but the mesh didn't sink into the water. But those from LFS can stay at the bottom of the tank. How do they make it? Can any one tell me what type of Mesh i need to use? and how?

Most of them will use wire mesh.

Stainless Steel Mesh will generally sink.

to sink plastic mesh you can use some stones, such as the ones that comes with potted plants you buy from LFS, or you can also use some lead, that is used to weigh down the plants also.

Get some fishing lead weight will solve the problem or those lead that tie the plant.

Thank you all for the reply. Now I got the idea and I will try with the wire mesh or Stainless steel mesh.

I use 6pcs/$2 from Daiso. Sinks...if you want to make moss wall, just cut out some holes in corner and insert suction cups.

    Cheap and good.

    Good luck!

    Hello Teddy Ang,
Yea, it is really cheap: 6pcs/$2. What is the size of one piece? The Daiso is in IMM, right? Do u still remember which section of Daiso keep that kind of things? I want to go and find it.

    Wink

Just use some lead weight or sucker that can attached to the plastic meshes to make it heavy so that it sink to the bottom or stick to the glass wall.

Bought from PS Daiso, near gardening section.

When you first immerse it got a lot of bubbles. just tap lightly then it sinks.

i should really check daiso out for the mesh..

btw since we're on the topic of daiso as well, they do sell some aquarium gravel and supplies such as zeolite and activated carbon! fish nets also.
