Wow! This is a nice one.
Not sure if anyone use this method to catch snail. I discovered it when I throw a Kiwi skin (thought it will feed the cory) into the tank which attract more than 30 snail within one day. It is actually very easy and I think it is more effective than using a snail trap.
Like how you eat the kiwi, cut the fruit into half and dig out the inside. When is done, wash the skin and throw into the tank. Let it sink into the bottom of the tank. On the next day, you should see lot of snail and shrimp eating the inside of the skin. And since all the snails are inside the skin, simply remove the skin carefully and throw it away. Simple as that !
Wow! This is a nice one.
Hey! That's a very new & innovative way of catching snails PohSan, thanks!!! [By the way, does it work on all breeds of snails like Ramshorn? If yes, then I don't have to wake up in the middle of the night to catch these snails next time... ]
Now I know how to better use my Kiwi skin instead of dumping it away the next time... [Hmm... wonders if other fruits' skin will work also in a similar fashion... Mango? Rambutan? Durians....?!? ]
Cheers!!!
PS: Nice pic of the kid in your avartar, PohSan!!!
