Hi, folks,
I am new to AQ and has been reading it like addictive for the whole of last week. Feels like I finally found the place where I should belong to.
I am currently upgrading my CO2 regulator and has done some research on the major brands. I am looking at a top norch one which is problem free so that I can let it run and forget it. Problem being leaking, insconsistant bps, etc.
I am thinking to the 'SumoRegulator' assembled in the states
http://sumoregulator.com/. Contacted the sales.
They told me for their rig the compatible fitting is:
CGA 320
Not quite sure if the typical Cylinder we got in Singapore has the same fitting as the one in U.S. Bros, could you shed some light on this?
Also found a few major brands of CO2, which one do you guys use and time proven good?
-JBJ
-Azoo
-RedSea
-Mulwaukee
Looking forward to your advice

cga-320 is the standard fitting for co2 equipment.
instead of limiting yourself one from overseas, try lfs in singapore.
good brands such as dennerle, bioplast, jbj are available in singapore.
issues with leaking regulators are seldom reported but there are many who experienced leaking joints. careful connection will usually take care of this issue.
inconsistent co2 bubble rate is resolved by having a needle valve.

Peter, a huge thank you to you.
You answered my question right away.
Bors, does any one of you know where I can get a brass
CGA320 to BS341 adaptor? Any LFS or hardware shop does this?
Or does Homefix carry such adaptor?
Thanks in advance!
Tawauboy, appreciated your comments and suggestions.
Just feel so good to have access to the opinions of you guys.
I will do some research on the brands you recommended...
I have another question...
Have done some reading and people did point out an small accessory which is constatnly overlooked but critical called 'Washer' which join between the cylinder and the regulator. May I have your suggestion on what it is and where can I get it. Does it usually ship together with a regulator set?
It comes with the regulator itself and extra sets can be purchased. The Nature Aquarium tanks and regulators are pretty stable to me having used them for a long time.
You can read more about the difference in the CGA320 and BS341 standard here under cylinder valve threads.

Peter, I am amazed by your links. Neat and straight to the point.
My long googling didn't give me anything as worthy.
Hi there! I'm planning to buy a CO2 regulator online & there was an inlet thread option between G5/8, W12.8 or M22. Was wondering if anyone here have had any experience buying online & which thread should I choose that is compatible with CO2 cylinders here in Singapore.
Or the issue isn't that simple as the cylinders sold here have diff. threads too?
Any insight would be very much appreciated.
p.s. I do know that there are adaptors from one type of threading to another. I guess I would prefer not to have the adaptors if I can.
Cga320 fitting, i had purchased solenoid from UK supplier, it fit well. My understanding we are using same thread with UK, but not US.
