    Hi All experts here,

I would like to know what is the recommended cannister filter flow rate for a 24" x 20" x 20" tank. I intend to set up as a HC or glosso tank with CRS.

    Thanks

    With regards

i would go more with tetra ex90 the tank is 150 litres, and a turnover of at least 5-10 times tank volume per hour is recommended for planted tanks. as your tank is a shrimp tank and it's going to be foreground plant only (not as much flow impediments), you can go on the lower side and aim for ~900 litres/hour, which is 6x turnover

it would probably do the job for now. however, the filter is the heart of your tank, if possible, try to get one of the more reliable brands that can last you a long time...you won't want to come home one day to find that your filter spoilt and your fauna are all dead, or that your filter leaked and your tank is now all dry and your living room is flooded etc.
