What type of lights do you have? Do you use fertilizers? Was it growing before you cut off the stems? I have a Oak leaf Water Sprite and it's about to take over my tank. I just threw a bunch of it away yesterday.

Are you certain that this spirte is the Ceratopteris?

If so, it is one of those easy and weedy plant and should not cease to grow. That is if everything else seems to somewhat grow in that same tank.

ya. i used fertilizer. it was growing happily before i trimmed it.

Reason for trimming : most of the stems are unhealthy. got algae on it.

after trimming off 80% of the stems... it is growing very slow. after 1 wk, i notice the leaves grow bigger. but it is not growing taller.
