    Hi all,

    can I check if Yamato shrimps will change their colour?? My Yamato shrimps seems to have change their colour after being introduce. I saw light brown, light blue and white colours.

    Is this normal??

    I noticed mine after eating algea or moss will look green and if they managed to snatch a lot for wafers from my corydoras and goldfish, it will will look brownish. Reason being they are translucent and I can tell if they have eaten their food.

    I also, noticed that once they adapt to the water parameters, they will start to shed their whole shell every few weeks. So not sure if it is due to these reason that you are noticing colour changes.

    thanks for your explanations. I saw mine shedding off their shells offten too in my tank. Hopefully it's ok for them.

    Shedding of shell means that it's growing. Normally the most crucial period is after they shed their exoskeleton. Their new shell is very soft & they're easily a prey to others.
