    Just found some baby lamp eye in my planted tank. got them out in a small container before they get eaten up. Was wondering how do i care for them. Any idea ?

    They will take infusoria and newly hatched baby brine shrimp. Put plenty of moss in the container as there will be infusoria among the moss. In fact, they will probably take anything that is microscopic in size, so perhaps grounded flakes or egg yolk may also work.

    I think more importantly, you may need to siphon out any uneaten food as they will pollute the water and fries can be sensitive with water parameters.

    They are near microscopic, 1 to 2 mm in size. Took me an hour to fish them out with a small container. Grounded flakes and egg yolk. Wow, i have to really measure the amount, they''re only 14 of them and so small. What is infusoria ??

    If your tank is densely planted, they'll have a better chance surviving there.

    i found a few baby lamp eye in my tank too last night.. I have lotsa moss, and only cardinals and lampeyes in my tank.. Should i leave them there or fish them out?

    If you want a better survival rate, remove them. Otherwise, you can let nature takes its course. They may become snacks for other fishes, so their survival rate will depend on the hiding places and luck.
