    hey!

i will be starting a 3ft shrimp tank soon. will be having quite good lighting as i plan to reuse my ati powermodul 6tubes on it from my marine tank.

may i know what type of plants can i grow in it except mosses and fissiden

this tank will consist of crs, black tigers and orange eyes blue tiger.
my friend told me i can add sucker fish in it too, is there any other fishes i can keep with the shrimps?

Since it's a shrimp tank, can have carpet plants like hair grass, HC or glosso, I won't suggest any other plants else you will have problem finding your expensive black tigers and golden eye blue tiger.

For fishes, can keep some boraras. Sucker fish can grow very big, you can try oto.

Microrasbora Erythromicron, they are small and cute same as their relative galaxy rasbora. But both of them rather shy, I have a hard time to see them schooling in my 3ft tank.

Do I assume that "quite good lighting" equal high lights? If so, do you intend to have CO2? What about the substrate? These will determine what plants you can grow.

Also, what is the colour temperature of your light tubes. Usually the lights for marine tank will not be suitable for planted tank.

i would guess its quite high lights, 6x 39watts of t5 lightning and the powermodul is actually one of the better fixture for marine usage. i will change the bulb to 65k. as for co2, i do not mind using it. but then my friend advice me not to use fertilizer as it will kill the shrimps.

substrate i will be using ada amazon most likely

    http://www.planetinverts.com/Dosing%20Fertilizers%20with%20Shrimp.html
I'm dosing Brighty K twice 2 week in my shrimp tank, my sakura & bee shrimp remain healthy and active. Sakura breed a lot too, countless shrimplets inside
