    yeah, yimin's the cory-king! very reliable! []

i saw a fish at ben/tb 2 days ago, left side shop, second tank on right side. dark grey/ash colour, like small c. aeneus. but on closer inspection, quite sure not corys cos their dorsal fins stretched longer to the back. their caudal penuncle (sp?) also looked a bit crooked...[:] what are they?

Well... I remember some of the sterbai I've seen in the past, and the base skin was a bit brownish? The base of these are more black than brown. So I was wondering...

i think the colouration is largely due to the surroundings especially that of the gravels used. however i do have some lighter in colourations too. should be fine i think.

rain, come to think of it, quite possibility a brochis sp., though i didn't really note the snort. didn't take note of the price cos the condition looked pretty sad, some like torned fins and i didn't like the crooked caudal peduncle. [:]

unless it's an unusual armoured catfish species...[:0]

It looks like Corydoras haraldschultzi, it is commonly confused with Corydoras Sterbai.

it's kinda obvious the difference once you know what you're looking for
sterbai is black on white, the harldschultzi the other way around
when you look at what you think is a sterbai but feels very very weird, it could very well be harldschultzi

anyway, the c. harldschultzi are quite rare in our parts
haven't seen any, but ectan once told me about them

    and please for goodness' sakes
can we stop calling those names? simi king ah etc
    feel very uncomfortable [:]
especially when there're people who're more in the know
clothahump, hitman, leonghui come to mind easily
