Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
Trevor, my plecos are not plant-friendly. have tried many types of plants until i settled on java ferns. moss are so far safe, and i may try nanas again. all are still 'short plants'![]
stormhawk, i like the bridges too. got them from K&K tampines. my plecos move around underneath, hide underneath like spiderman, and i can also put the plants on them!

Trevor, forgot to tell you that my java ferns (m.p. windelov) are already the taller ones that i paid an average of $7 each, from K&K. the normal form on the right is much taller, but i like windelov cos they're 'more bushy'.
i bought some loose m.p. tropica from aquamart for my cory tank, but realized that tying them to the driftwood was no easy task. so i guess it'll be the windelov sp for now.
by the way, the height of my tank is 50cm.

hi coryfav
have you tried using anubis and certain echinodorus plants?....like to know why did you place your inlet pipes so high?

The title below my name does not make me a guru...listen at your own risk!...
hi david, i'd nanas when there's gravel in that tank, but they died cos i think they're planted too deep in. realized now that nanas grow better, tied to driftwood, so will use them later if i need more plants.
i'd echinodorus sp. there before too, but the plecos chewed on the stems and sent the leaves floating!
the filter inlet. i want it to catch the finer particles from the water, instead of the bigger poop from the bottom so that i need not clean the canister too often. the internal filter is the one that's supposed to help clear the poop (the rest thru manual siphoning) as it's much easier to clean.

Mine's looking more "man-made", esp when I took out the gravel! But now very easy to spot my plecos!!
lighter, any latest pics of your pleco tank?
i can't keep my pleco tank too 'concrete' for too long, cos i may one day just decide to turn in into my dream pygmy cory tank![:0] well, 2 pcs of driftwoods saved my plecos![]

why the image didnt show?[] []
thanks, lsz & mez!
mez, these plecos are really messy fellas![:0] the tank was set up with gravel, but i soon realized that i couldn't get the poop out effectively. also bits of food got stuck here and there. so for the sake of hygiene, i took out the gravel.[:]

lighter, i like those bubbles coming from both sides of your tank. both operating with airtubes & air pumps?
is there a way in which i can use a powerhead or small internal filter to connect to stuff like that, or an air curtain? i don't like using airpumps/tubes.[:]
