    I just bought a small water lily with a huge rizhome... really big...
    anyway it can't fit my tank because my substrate isn't deep enough so can I cut the rizhome? tia

    dun think thats such a good idea. u can trim the roots but dun destroy the rhizome .

    Too late... I hope it lives...
    Does anyone want the rizhome? It's big... can get about 2 or 3 plants from it...

    Aiyoh, why ask if you're gonna go and cut it anyway... LOL. []

    Anyway, you should plant the rhizome completely. Leave it half exposed.
