Yep DEA, got 15 Malayans, 20+ adult Cherrys and babies [:], 15 bees. You mean to say they're the culprits ? don't they affect other plants too? other plants in my tank are ok leh

Your shrimps are the culprit. I had 20 yamatoes in my tank and they were feasting on my tennelus until I introduced my aro and it had most of them for a snack.

Probably, your tank doesn't have that much algae to support that many shrimps

Funny thing is the holes are not random, they form between the veins of the leaves - thereby leaving behind square orifices. darn, wish I got a digicam with good zoom to show you...

If you wanna try K dosing..go with Dr Mallick's K2SO4 powder...cheaper at $7.60 per 1 kg. But once you begin to supplement K at around 20-30ppm per week..you might wanna look out for Calcium and magnesium deficiency...Mmmmm..one problem leads to another...so..get the calcium sulfate and magnesium sulfate to be safe..no need to go another time..[]

If you like can try "Lo-Salt" available at NTUC for $4+. It contains 66% KCL and 33% NaCl. But I prefer to use K2SO4 if possible because of the salt content in Lo-Salt.

    KF,

I've not used Lo-salt for sometime, but I thought it was 66% NaCl and 33% KCl? or did I remember wrongly?

In fact, "Lo-Salt" has traces of MgCO3 used as anti-caking agent. So good dose of some Mg as well?

"Lo-Salt" was the first source of K I used in my tank and it works as well. I stopped after getting K2SO4 from Dr Mallick. It contains more K per volume.
