Mosses and the Men Who Love Them by Loh Kwek Leong of Singapore
Hi all,
these mosses are sort of overgrown in my tank & making it difficult for me to see my shrimps & fishes... Intend to sell them off in the Marketplace to interested bro/sis, but not too sure what kind of moss they are. Anyone can help to ID it (circled in red) for me? Many thanks!!
Moss A:
Moss B:
PS: The moss B is much thinner than Moss A... Previously just dump into my tank, now all mixed up & confused.. Also sorry for unable to provide a much clearer macro shot...

A : Peacock
B : Java
A: Peacock moss
B: Mini Java moss ?
My guess is:
Moss A is Spiky Moss; I'm pretty sure of this.
Moss B is probably Java Moss
I would strongly urge all hobbyists to stop using the name "Peacock Moss" because long before we started to use that name, it was already given to another moss, a non-aquatic one. You can see a picture of the true "Peacock Moss" here.

yea, many people have been saying countless times that peacock moss = spiky moss.. the peacock name is just a trade name.. would suggest to use spiky moss as 2 different name but the same moss would confuse newbies..
