Learning to use my toys

Here's what Richard miss for not joining me. Anyway, since so many people are showing their bug shots, I thought I show mine as well. Still learning to use my toys effectively so that I don't scare all the bugs away. Here are 3 I shot during the weekends.

is the spider full frame or heavily croppe?

Yeah, I agree about the leaf. I didn't dare to remove the leaf, was afraid it would scare the bug away.

Choy,
Crop around 10%.

well if only crop off 10% then that's practically full frame right? I thought the magnification looks way more than 1:1

Actually it's less than 1:1. Didn't use TC for this and wasn't near minimum focusing distance.

I think should be able to find with a bit of luck. Just need to open eyes big big and do a very very detail search. Don't leave any leaf unturned.

What toys are you testing? Tamron 180mm?

My new toys are my new tripod, flash, ball head and flash bracket. The setup needs some getting used to. Still learning how to move carefully with that heavy setup and not scare the bugs away.
