Are you referring to sea view or another one?

I called seaview and they told me there is no stock at the moment.

Looks like I have to make the long trip down to QH. Since they shoal, are they truly bottom dwellers or not?

They go to the bottom usually to eat or sleep. Most of the time is spent zipping around the tank.

Cool! Thanks for the update, I guess we must give them the Scientific / LFS / Chinese / English names etc etc to double confirm. I will drop by Seaview this weekend.

Just to add, get a shoal! You'll be greatly rewarded. Fascinating fish. I had a single one for 2 years and two weeks ago i bought 4 more so i now have 5 (minimum recomended #) I've been greatly rewarded. Mine are hand tamed already and concidering there size they have a very strong nibble on them They are generally bottom dwellers although to be honest mine spend almost all there time swimming after any other fish in my tank, even chasing my Jack Dempseys (which do NOT like it)

Very inquisitive fish I adore them.

They are active creatures and I seldom see them staying at the bottom except when resting (which is a rare sight as they are hyperactive). I have been fortunate enough to discover a young juvenile born in my tank a few days ago

Oh yeah, just for information sake, they are now known as Yasuhikotakia sidthimunki (B. sidthimunki is now the synonym).

By that i take it you mean they don't get along with shrimps? If thats what your querying i think you'd be mistaken. Mine get along fine with shrimp and show absolutely no aggresive/dominant behaviour what so ever.

Albeit mine are kept with Jack Dempseys and larger Clown Loach, i'm yet to hear of issues with shrimp or aggresion.

Thats funny. That first link you gave shows an image which isnt even the right fish. Young specimens are often confused with juvenile Yasuhikotakia Nigrolineata. The latter growing to about 4 inch max. Simple way to describe how to differentiate the two. I'll save hassel by positing a link to a good page. Just below half way theres a little section called "Notes" which puts it very clearly. Better than i could anyway.
