AH? Sharp.
Is it a normal that bug folks shoot with high ISO to get nice green background?

Nice! I see them flying around my estate everytime but never got the chance to shoot them because they are always flying around.

Nice shots Loke. I really like the color of the first 2 pictures. Too bad the butterfly isn't flat. The lighting is good but the first picture, the subject is a bit too center. Doesn't really work for me.

I like the first shot, nice stance.
The white in pic 3 looks a bit blown, or is it my monitor?
Anyway nice series

yup, agree with luenny on the first, perhaps a portrait will be suitable
This was the second time I came across this specifies. It gives me an impression of an elegant humming bird. It will spend 2-3 seconds on a single stalk of flower, sipping nectar and flipping wings at the same time (pic 1,2), before moving off to the next one. Occasionally it stops flapping its wings for a second or two, but don't count on it. Ok, I am making excuses here .
I can only say I will keep my composure next time if I chance upon this beauty again. It was a blind date in the first place
Loke,
Actually you can just crop the first photo to get the composition that Simon mentioned. Since you're posting a small copy here, it should be ok. Not as good as shooting it the way you intended it to be but it should be still alright.

Nice shots. Beautiful butterfly. Where did you catch it?
