IMO, I will not keep CRS with malayan shrimps. Same theory as keeping Cardinal tetras with Neon tetras. Kind of like .... no point.

Anyway, no offense to people here who did likewise.

OK, gonna try this out since I got infested with BBA. I noticed that BBA grows around areas with low CO2. Will pop over to get some Malayan from C328 tomorrow.

    ...thank you for the tip!

I emptied 50 into my tank and hair algae is visibly reduced!

    Kudos to thread starter!

I have those black algae that grows on the leaves of my plants.
Are these the Black Beard Algae (BBA)?

I have some CRS and cheeries in my tank, will putting malayan shrimps cross breed with them?

    Thanks,
    From a Newbie

not 100% sure but i heard from old shrimp guru that malayan and cherries do cross breed. after they cross bred, the colour are the wild form of cherries.

Hi bros, how were your results? Did your Malayan shrimps do a wonderful job on hair line algae? I got 2 tanks heavily infected with hair line algae.

Does cheeries do the same job as malayan?
    Or must it be malayan?
