Ah but i the difference is.. crs does not clear up the hair algae in the tank..... or is it just mine? so i was thinking of getting some the clear up the hair algae...
Wow.. didn't know Malayans could turn up so nice.. Thks for sharing !
anyone wanna share 25 malayans each? seems like everywhere's onli selling in 50s pack.. i duwan they to overcrowd my already crowded tank..
I would like only 2 as my tank is really small? if you want to share with me that is....
i also don't mind sharing, need a few to clear up quite alot of hair algae for my 2 ft tank.
oh so koren and kendrick gonna share a bag of 50? can i get like 2 or 4 from u guys?
OK, gonna try this out since I got infested with BBA. I noticed that BBA grows around areas with low CO2. Will pop over to get some Malayan from C328 tomorrow.
bro, malayan do not clear BBA...
...thank you for the tip!
I emptied 50 into my tank and hair algae is visibly reduced!
Kudos to thread starter!

I have those black algae that grows on the leaves of my plants.
Are these the Black Beard Algae (BBA)?
I have some CRS and cheeries in my tank, will putting malayan shrimps cross breed with them?
Thanks,
From a Newbie
nope don't think they do
not 100% sure but i heard from old shrimp guru that malayan and cherries do cross breed. after they cross bred, the colour are the wild form of cherries.
You can refer to post #10 of this link.

oh.. thanks beetroot for your confirmation. =)
going down to seaview to get my fair share this weekend!
spotted hair algae on my HC today!!
Hi bros, how were your results? Did your Malayan shrimps do a wonderful job on hair line algae? I got 2 tanks heavily infected with hair line algae.
Does cheeries do the same job as malayan?
Or must it be malayan?
