Oh, i don't want to flood the place with too many butterfly pictures, just in case i get hammered

That was taken when i first got the C180, still not very use to it till now. The 80mm difference from 100mm to 180mm is quite significant, it's 3 small steps backwards instead of the usual distant. Guess should have chosen a bigger f/stop. Maybe f/9 onwards.

Thanks all for the kind comments.

    Cheers!

I got hammered in my sleep when i posted a range of butterfly pictures. So i'm determine to share only when i feel that it's worth sharing.

    Richard,
Don't need to envy, It weigh 1020gm & it's heavy to walk around with. Hand holding is going to be a nightmare.

My tripod weigh a ton too. So i often keep it at home.

Guess i'll get a monopod soonest in order to rectify the problem or better still upgrade to a better ISO camera to deal with low light. Unless they decide to come out with the 180mm f/1.8 or an IS function. Then again it'll add on to the current weight.

Can't have best of both world.

    Cheers!

Just a few nits, part of the wing is OOF and the butt is too centered for my liking. Plus the OOF flowers in front is a bit distracting but you manage to keep that to a minimum. Other than that a very good shot.

    Thanks Leunny,

Could have used a higher f/setting to rectify the OOF problem. The top part of the wing isn't sharp, what a pity
