    Hi Guys,

i currently have about 30 rummynose Tetra in my 2 ft tank and they are schooling nicely. However, i am considering introducing another breed of fish. My question will the introduction of new species stop the rummynose from schooling and will the new group school seperately with their individual species.

I need some ideas of what goes well with the rummynose.

    All opinions welcome. thanks.

Harlequins? My harlequins schooled well with the other fishes and doesn't disrupt the others.

In fact when i pop-ed in some rasboras, they actually schooled together... quite a sight.

I have 5 rummynose and 5 x-ray tetras in my tank. Both of which are schooling fishes, they seem to be doing very well together. Both species school together to form one big group. Its quite cute to see, like one big happy adopted family. Haha.

Don't think you should add another school of fish for a 2FT tank. Maybe a small 6pc shoal. Look for fish with different swimming behaviour. Pencilfish are nice. Or maybe a small group of corys?

30pcs rummynose in a 2ft tank? Is it too much for another school?
