    Hi All,

    It has been sometime I have not be in this arena. I wanted to start an office tank keeping perhaps just CRS.

    Tank Dimensions (LxWxH, specify units): 1ft cube

    Lighting Intensity(No of Watts) : I need some comment. I am considering Acadia 11 watts. Please recommend.

    I have purchase Wondergro and wonder how much I should dose. Any experts? I have never used this product before. I usually use dry NPK.

    Plants I am considering:
    1. Anubias
    2. Moss
    3. Hairgrass or Glossostigma elatinoides or HC
    4. Crypts
    5. Rotala or Didiplis diandra
    6. Macandra
    7. Pellia
    8. Micranthemum micranthemoides
    9. Hydrocotyle verticillata
    Cheerio,

    Hello.

    A 1ft cube tank hold approximately 27 liters or less.
    The dosing of WG liquid fert greatly depends on what kind of setup you are aiming at. The range could be half to twice the recommended dosage, looking at the setup in the first place.
    A typical try out dosage for similar planted CO2 injected tank you may want to try would be something like :
    Macro = 1 pump every 2-3 days
    Micro = 1 pump every 4-5 days

    From there observation would be necessary. A reduce or addition, may it be in volume or in frequency when needed (subject to plant mass, bio load and metabolism rate).

    The lighting you need would heavily depend on what kind of setup you are making and the selection of plants you want.
    11W tube on such tank would be barely enough, but sufficient to grow those needing less light to survive, namely moss and anubias, but definitely not glosso, rotalla, hairgrass and such.

    To reach the level sufficient growing such more light-hungry plants, you would probably need in excess of 25W worth of tubes. At this level plants would metabolize much quicker and needs ample supply of nutrition, that is including enough CO2.
