Like you said it, you have tablet, liquid, home make, etc. all these are cheap method but in the long run it all goes back to square one because these cheap method run out very fast. The bottle depot type is easier to operate and less messy. It all goes down to your 'pocket'.

Julian, here it goes - for $100 lighting, I recommend that you get fluorescent one and mix the tubes eg. daylight and grolux. As for co2, one I mentioned bottle type - I am refering to those aluminium/metal cylinder type - not the DIY type. For the co2 system it will cost you slightly over $200 - ie. regulator, soleniod valve, 2kg co2 cylinder, timer, diffuser, etc.

    Julian,

In the thread "wat media to put inside the cansiter fliter", I told you that we could not understand your questions and requested that you use punctuation in your postings. You subsequently rephrased your question in understandable english.

If you can continue posting like that, it will make it easier for us to help you and also for other forumers to understand, and benefit from, the info presented.

We do not require you to post in perfect english, just as long as it's understandable easily.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

    wow
    ok
    let's start from the bottom

    co2 is carbon dioxide gas
i think in sec 2 you should have learnt about photosynthesis? then you know that plants need it to grow

    next
    'cheapest' light
if by cheapest you mean 'cheap thing that'll fail in 2 months and cause me more than what i paid for it in repairs', sure, there're plenty of brands out there that'll meet your needs
what i suggest is you go around and check with the different lfses

you might think we're tekaning you
    no
for one thing, different people might get different prices from different shops
the other thing is nobody in their right mind will willingly tell someone else to buy the 'cheapest' thing around when they know it will fail and screw you up

so, take a walk around petmart, *cough* rainbow *cough*, nature aquarium and check out the lighting there

of course, if you feel that a journey to even these 3 shops is too tedious, i don't think anyone here will be able to help you
this hobby builds patience and maturity
we lose a lot of people this way because they get frustrated by the lack of quick and easy fixes
but stick with it/us and you will be a better person for it

    and one more thing
    don't tekan us
    we're old people
your kind of grammar is very taxing on the brain
    work it out, yeah?
