I've newly planted some Glosso in my 2.5ft tank(96L), but they're not creeping along the base, instead they're shooting straight up! My lighting is abt 108W. Isn't it more than enough? what's happening? Can anyone please help? Thanks a million.

    hi ck

what you can do is to plunge it back into the substrate...incidentally how thick is your substrate level to the base fert?

    Hi Simon
thanks for your suggestion! By the way,any recommendation on which brand on liquid fert to use? I'm using 'UP',I think is a Taiwan brand.

Is your glosso shaded, can the lights reach them?
How old are the lights tube, change them if they are 6 months old.
How's your CO2 level? Recommend to have ph 6.8 and below.

    hope it helps.

    Hi David
My base fert is abt 3cm into the substrate (altogether 6cm from front). Will this affect the growth of Glosso?

    hi ck

3cm is pretty okay...the reason i asked was that if the gravel layer is too deep like 4cm to the base fert, certain forground plants may have difficulty reaching the base fert....

How to overcome the problem of having the base fertilizer too deep from the gravel top. Can I use those 'stick' fertilizer, any brand recommend? Thanks.
