How to keep this bacterium alive anyway?

I bought 2 of these guys from apistoworld hk some time back in a mass order.
The two are still with me today.
They don't seem to grow though.... My other cardinals have grown bigger, but the 2 platinum cardinals are still of the same puny size... But darn they're shiney!
Are they genetically manupulated?
available in local shores?
Occasionally they are available but normally in very limited quantity. sometimes only 1 or 2 and very expensive.
One LFS boss want to sell one to me for $25 and that was years ago.
OMG ! It a beauty !
I saw it at Qian Hu a few months back and finds it so difference . My thought it was because of the high powered light that gives this fish the reflection.

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

There is a form of golden Cardinals which are the result of selective breeding of a mutant that appeared in a tank raised spawn and this variety is being commercially bred in Florida fish farms.
It's color is not a result of an infection of the guanine producing diseased fish and they are only about 2-3 times the cost of normal Cardinals in the USA,
about US$5 each.
