To Love & To Forgive...
Have tried putting malayan with betta cocinna of size only 3cm and witness them hunting down the shrimps in the planted tank. So a big no no to shrimps and betta setup even for bigger sized yamato as they will surely be very stressed.
ok thanks, a no-no then
anyway new here
not really understand the term betta but check it out and it mean fighting fish generally...
my workplace tank had a couple of yamato and so far 4 betta in there...the better generally stayed on surface and rarely come down at all...

4 bettas in a single tank? they are probably female.. wells, different bettas have different temperaments. some may hunt and stress the shrimps some may leave them alone..
nope....theres 1 seasoned male(might be female cause he is short tail but too bright to be one) who is in the tank since i join the workplace,he bigger than the other 3 there but then he just swim around to eat and neither do i see him wacking another one..while another 3 sibling (some senoir rear them ) occasionnally chase one another but still swim together ...
my tank is 4 ft btw
I don't think a big tank will help much other than maybe giving the shrimp more places to hide. I had female bettas in a 3ft tank but they still ate up my yamatos.
