but is there any way i can keep fish inside?
maybe change the soil?
Hi, what soil are you using? How deep did you maintain the water level? Any photographs to show?
i use the soil for normal plant.water level is about 13 to 15cm.
i told the auntie i want to put fish inside she say that soil is ok.
photo i dont have at the moment.
try checking the ph level.....should make the pot water condition acceptable for fishes to live in
Are there food for the fish to eat in the 1st place?
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.
Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.
I keep fishes in potting soiled based tank and all fishes and plants are healthy.
It could be other reason that kill your fishes. Eg, fish is sick, tank is not cycled properly, the water is too hot since your pot is outdoor, the soil is contaminated eg rust, etc.
I am not really sure how big is your pot but 15 cm is not really very deep. On a hot day, your fish could be cooked.
Shift the pot to a cooler area and avoid direct sunlight. Change water and put in some floaters and try again.
ok ok.thanks.will change the soil this weekend.sad.today check see 1 more female betta die.
If it's not due to hot sun it could be fertiliser from the soil. Remove water, cover your top soil with 1 cm lapis sand and slowly add water in. You can still use the existing soil.
OK.
the auntie add 3 spoon of chicken shit inside the soil for me.haha.
maybe that is the cause.
where can i find lapis sand?
are you cyrus's friend? haha i think the soil contains alot of ammonia since its normal potted soil. Its not sutible for keeping aquarium stuff.
ya..how you know?you are?haha
so what should i do now?
im eugene, was at the bbq remember? Haha, should change the subsrate to fish friendly substrate. Can use lapis then put fert near the roots, or just use ADA or gex soil.
haha..i guess is you because you say you stay yishun
like that i must dig out my lotus already and change the soil this sunday.where can i buy lapis and how much it cost??
im using ADA for my 2ft tank.
