    i have a 3 week old 1-foot tank with DIY CO2 and GEX soil...

    notice that the new leaves grown from this plant are skinny - is it a case of mulnutrition?

    nope.... its growing submerged leaves.... those below are emersed leaves...

    sorry don't really understand the difference between submerged and emersed -you mean this is normal and nothing to be alarmed?

    hi bro nothing to alarm is normal "emersed" plant planted to the land without water that why the left and colour is diff some of the plant will even melt off the left once when you planted it into the water it will slowly start to grow submerged form the left and colour will change that is common.
