Around 900 feet, we arrived at an abandoned village called Kampung Jagoi Gunong. I had an eerie feeling when entering this "ghost" village. Somemore I saw the Human skulls in a small hut!!!
The dense tropical jungle.
Welcome to the abandoned village.
Where is everyone?
Am I entering into another dimension?
Looking around...but we still couldn't find anyone.

The Human skulls!
Human skulls found in this small "storage hut":

"Ghost" village...
Old longhouse:
When we're walking towards Baruk(a house for ceremony) , we saw some clothes hanging on the cable.
There, we met the last family in the village. According to a young Bidayuh villager, everyone was moved down to the foothill since long time ago because the elder people found inconvenient to move around in the mountain area. This last family will join them soon once their newly constructed house at the foothill is completed. At that time, this village will consinder an abandoned village.
The Human skulls are the skulls of their ancestor. Every August, all the villagers from foothill will hike to their old village to celebrate Gawai Antu and the skulls will carry out by villagers from the hut to the Baruk for the Gawai Antu ceremony.
THE END.

Wow, you call this no challenge at all? Hmm ... next time if I go Sarawak hiking I'll make sure I tell my guide I want to go on a trail that's no challenge at all. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to the top that way.
