The "neon" blue colour looks a little weird, but I suppose it's probably the flash and/or lighting?

There is no mention of a fish with reddish fins in Fishbase's identification keys of Telmatherina, so maybe there is a lack of information (I may have overlooked) or an undescribed species.

I think this fish found in the Mimbon website (1st picture) may be the same, labelled as Telmatherina sp. "Suraya" at the moment, probably due to difficulty in identifying or new undescribed species. Is Suraya a location in Sulawesi? I couldn't find much information with regards to it.

Would love to have some of these though, tank space permitting.

    Hi Quixotic

Surya is no location-I named it after the Indian God of sun- because of the nice color,
there are males with redfins or yellow fins some of the males also have blue fins.
This species is not from the MaliliLakes,it´s from small forest streams in Sulawesi.
Fishes need low temperature and high ph:
We found them at 20 C and ph 8.00.
    Regards

    Roland

Thanks so much for the id. Luckily i put them in a chilled tank. BTW, they don't seem to want to feed on pellets and flakes. Seemed like fresh food only.

Quixotic, maybe you should make some tank space ... they are gorgeous.
