Do you use algae eaters in your tanks? Otocinclus or Chinese Algae Eaters would be helpful for the leaves, glass or driftwood surfaces.
For tank glass, you can use a phone card or similar to scrape away the algae.

    Cheers!

scrapping is the best way to get rid of green spot algae, use a plastic card or get a proper scrapper from lfs.

Yamato is effective in clearing hair algae but ineffective against GSA, nerite snails are known to clear GSA and you can get a piece for ard 0.80 to $1

Nerite snails won't disturb your plants, let alone eat them.I have some in my planted tank, and all they do is eat algae on the tank walls.

    Cheers!

saw the little fella eating some of the algae, but i think the job is too much for him or her to complete.
so far so good, as he is still active at a temp of 20deg in my 1 footer.
since bro here says they don't eat my plants, i will go get some more to help out with so much algae on the glass panes.

but i don't know what to do with them once they are really clean, which is what i hope to see.
i don't have too many plant tanks.
how long do they live anyway, and if they run out of glass algae what do they eat next?
    hopefully not my plants.
