Hanging Marimo Moss balls

Hi,

has anyone tried hanging marimo moss balls in the tank instead of placing them on the gravel bed ? I am thinking of running a very fine nylon (fishing line) string through the moss ball and secure the end using small stick (eg. tooth pick) to prevent slippage and tie the other end to some high dw edge or the tank top. Hope this will also keep the moss growing in round shape.

I'm just turning mine over once every week or so to keep it round.
