i got my fries from sia meng about 1.5mth back, they are 1.5cm to 2cm in sizes, and they do not show any colour at this moment. What timing is right to judge the frys on sexes? And is this a normal growth for fry at my batch? How fast can i transfer the frys to my planted tank? Thanks

    Hi Alvin,

The male should color up by 1.2~1.5 cm. Observe their fins carefully, you should have a few males.

Sorry, my post wasn’t complete. As for transferring your fish to a planted tank, I would suggest you breed them in a breeding tank before doing so. Nothos are very prone to velvet disease in planted tank. Make sure you collect at least 2 to 3 bags of eggs. (make sure there is eggs in the peat)
