    Hi experts,
After received some non-annual eggs from U.S. (killifishdavid), what should I do? (since he put them into the moist peat. I can see their eyes)

    1. simply put all eggs with peat into the aged water immediately.
    2. place all eggs into the aged water without peat immediately.
    3. place all eggs into the aged water later.

I choose 2, is it correct?

    Hi Vincent,

There's no expert here. All of us is still learning from each other and gain knowledge everyday.

To answer your question, I think you have to wet the peat now and water incubate the eggs till they hatch. Just throw all the peat into the water and let nature takes it's course.

Here in SIngapore, I use direct tap water to incubate and hatch all my eggs without any problem. But this may not work at the place where you live. So the use of aged water may be more appropriate.

    Vincent,
I have received eggs in peat moss. i just put them in aged water, peat moss too, do your water changes but don't remove the peat until the fry are big enough to move well. They love to hide in the peat
Some people dig the eggs out of the peat, but it is hard on my eyes so I don't bother.
Hope they do good for you!! What kind did you get?
    Regards,Deb

    Vincent,
You will have some nice fish when those eggs hatch.
The Fp gardneri nigerianus was the first killie that I got,and they sure gave me the killie fever!! I still have them for they are so pretty and easy to work with. They also are not a timid fish for I have mine on the kitchen counter, where there is alot of action!! There's seven youngins in this household!
I stick a tank where ever I can bedroom, livingroom, study, bathroom, and kitchen. :P
