    Hi all

Just over a month ago I hatched the bag of N. korthausae Mafia Island TAN 02-05 eggs I traded. They all pretty much sexed out now but it seems I have about a dozen females and 30 or so males. Has anyone else breeding KOR found this ratio in their fish?

This leads to another question, what does everyone do with all their extra males?

At the other end of the spectrum, I recently hatched some of my N. palmqvisti Gezani TAN 95-16. I have 2 males and 8 females. In my previous hatching I was getting roughly equal sexes.
    Regards
    Tom

    Re: Notho korthausae sex ratios

    Tom,

I no longer keep the N. korthausae but when I had them, the sex ratio was always skewed towards males. I never actually counted them but I think I was getting about 75% males. I think this is generally true for most of my other 2 Nothos too, the rachovii and guentheri.

What do I do with the extra males?

In the past, I sell some to fish shops but now, I keep them all for my own pleasure.
