Yesterday, I got a shock. The lone Rachovii in my planted comunity tank passed out a lump of baby malayan snails. At first, I thought that it is sick or badly infected at it anus because it swelled and it tip end was blackist in colour! Then it slowly passed out and on close inspection, I noticed that the black stool were tiny snail shells.

PS: The poor rachovii must be starving as it's slow to get food.

    Kc,
Were the shells in pieces or whole? If whole did you see if they were still living....Oh,go on a laugh, roll on the floor, and hold your stomach
But on the serious side, If they were still in one piece,I bet there's a good chance that they may still be alive. If one can put them in a bleach solution for several days and they survive, Why not a fish gut? just curious.

The shells are in whole, not crushed. I think they are dead, but I try to look for it again. Will let you know if they are still alive. :-)

Hah, that's nothing to shout about. Last night when Jennifer Ooi and Madan Subramaniam were in my house, they saw a Fundulopanchax gardneri in my tank trying to swallow a Siamese Algae Eater. Naturally, the fish was too big to go inside it's mouth and the Fp gardneri almost choked itself to death. Just goes to show how hungry my fish are these few days. I've been too busy to feed them.
