    Hi, everyone,

Here are some pictures selected from the many that Ronnie
took during the gathering. Some were taken the night before.
Hope our foreign friends who couldn't make it to the gathering
can at least share some of the fun by looking at the pics. I hope
too our faces won't scare you away from this forum

Other than the regulars in this forum, I won't name the other
people who appear in the following pictures because I don't know if
    they are comfortable about this.

From left to right: Ronnie Lee, Au S L, JianYang, Akgarat,
Kwek Leong and Freddy Chng. The lady in the picture is
Karin Leow. This is actually the last picture Ronnie took but
I'm putting it here first because it's the only picture that shows
Ronnie's pretty face. You won't see him again in the other
pics because he's the one behind the camera.

The night before the gathering where we were ironing
out last-minute details. The guy (extreme right)deep in
thought with his hand on his chin is Sia Meng.

Sia Meng, still deep in thought. The guy worries too
much, if you ask me Lily Choo, the satay stick
specialist, is the lady with the long hair.

Au and Freddy having a good time upstairs when they
were supposed to be helping out downstairs. Good
help is hard to find these days

    The day of the gathering.

Some guys sharing a private joke outside Karin's shop.

Tom's eggs are in the 4 small plastic containers.

Louise Chng, who made my day by turning up at the
    gathering. Isn't she a doll?

Louise with her father. The boy is Louise's cousin, I think.

The auction. Thanks to the generousity of Ronnie, Darren
and Poh San, Tom's eggs netted a grand total of $182,
far above what I had expected. Thanks, Tom.

    Ronnie and Kwek Leong,

Hi! Thanks for taking photos and sharing them with me. Now, I can finally put names to faces instead of trying to imagine how do you guys look like.

Judging from the conversations I had with you guys, I always thought that you guys are older but you guys are much younger than I thought. This is a compliment

Very nice to SEE you. It´s so fun to see others picture and I hope to see more of that.

I guess you all enjoyed your first meeting. Maybe we from far away can join sometime in the future.

This seems to be the foreigners reply forum. I agree, it is great to put some faces with names. It is great to see so many young people over there so interested in fishkeeping. There is definitely a different crowd over here.

    Congrats on your successful event.

Sometimes, what we imagine is always more alluring. Let's see if there's an opportunity to actually meet up some day.

Kean Huat, there's one quote from a friend which I like...
"Growing old is inevitable. Growing up is optional"

    Hiya Pär, Deb & Scott,
Limited by space to move around, there were a few missed 'Kodak Moments', which would have been candidly interesting.

If Kwek Leong were to load up all 80 shots, it would have taken forever for dial-up members to view, so I guess he picked the best of the lot.

The gathering attendance was quite unexpected and we just wished you guys & gals were here too. Those who couldn't make it, or overslept, now know what they missed!
I'm back & keeping 'em fingers wet,
    Ronnie Lee
