I am actually just starting out. My dad recently bought 2 fish tanks - 1 for guppies and 1 for prawns. I am thinking of getting some aquatic plants. Can anyone tell me if they are expensive? How much do they cost usually? What are the common aquatic plants? Hopefully, they are easy to grow.... cos I am not sure if i have a green thumb or a brown one... Which are the shops in Singapore where I can get them? Thanks!

    Charmaine,

It would help us to help you better if we have an idea how much you already know.

Generally, the common aquatic plants are cheap. Most cost around $1 to $1.50 a pot. But green thumbs or not, you won't be able to keep them alive, much less grow them, if you don't have the right equipment.

You have to tell us more before we can help you. But even before you do that, you should do some research yourself first. The information is freely available all over the internet so please read up as much as you can before you ask furthur questions.

A good place to start would be:

    Charmaine,

    Welcome to the forum.

In my view, budget wise, you main concern should not be the plant as they are relatively affordable and are negligeble compare to the investment on the tank and equipment.

It would be good if you could also tell us the tank size you are looking at.
