When I went to a city nearby to grab fish and plants, I spotted this fish(rather a lot of them) in one of my favourite stores. I checked the internet and there is not much information on, but I was able to get a scientific name: Lamprichthys tanganicus. They were 12.99CDN for a single fish(!) so I believe they are probably going to still be there next time I visit. So I ask, is this rare fish worth it? I have not seen a picture of it on the internet.

The most informative page I have found on this species was this page:

If they are mature next time I stop by, I may try to grab a pair.

Thanks! I ran a search a few hours ago and no images came up.

Great looking fish! It looks very metallic.

I have one big school of these. If I can breed them, I will send some eggs to S'pore.

Going to send them to Canada as well?

Would you be able to get a picture of your shoal(if it is not a hassle of course)?
