    Hi all,

my plants, especially my riccia is being covered by this "web" like algae...a thin film of algae covering the surface of the plant and some at the gravel.

can anyone advise what type of algae is this? and how to counter it? Thanks a lot.

is the algae blue-green in colour?
    if so, you have bga.

try to remove manually and improve water conditions.

It will help if you clear them first, then shorten your illumination time.

I'm guessing it could be Hair algae. Normally appears in new setup.

Maybe you should give us more details before we can advice. Refer to here for details to be furnished.
    Cheers!!
