    Hi all,

Just received a couple of pics from Choy, taken when he last visited my little 'killie korner' and I like this one best...

It's styled very simply, with Vallisneria americana (natans) in the rear right, Blyxa aubertii in mid-ground and B. japonica/Echinodorus tenellus combo in the foreground. The greenish cast, I suspect, is probably from shooting through a bunch of Limnobium laevigatum (Frogbits).

It looks very serene and quickly becomes my favourite "desktop wall-paper". I like it very much and hope you do too. Thanks Choy, for capturing the ambience for me.

tsk tsk tsk... do I have to do everything?

Kwek Leong, all pics seen in my postings are now linked from my albums at the main server, not Angelfire  .

Click here (if you're not wearing glasses) and if you want a 800x600pixel wallpaper, gimme a holler and I'll upload one.

    Ronnie,
I have taken the liberty to remove the yellow cast for you ... This is how I remember that tank looks like ;-)

ha, in my rush I've neglected to inform The Ron Man (similar to The Marlboro Man except this one squats behind bushes) that the images are stock conversion without any manual adjustments.

In any case, the shots were fired blind because I arrived at the corner almost 2359 and I'm surprised they came out focused at all! Now you know why the thread is titled so

Gan, thanks editing the pic. At least now, the Blyxa aubertii has those 'fresh, green leaves' as observed during the day.

Choy, I received a few PMs asking how the shot was taken, aperture settings etc. (recorded in the raw data perhaps?)

I'm not saying anything except for a much needed tripod to hold that flash

Yeah I'll go check the EXIF data.

At least Canon should be proud about their flash. Maybe FC can be their spokesperson: "wah lau eh, when the flash went off hor, the whole tank was like the underwater wonderland under the sun man… Canon flash, POW-ER!"

Actually you can just reply that the key is that the flash is over the tank. The other settings are not that important IMHO.
