Hi Jose, welcome to the forum. Firstly, I can't tell what species you have just by looking at the pictures. Do you have any clearer pictures of the fish? They do look like Riv. hartii to me but it could be Riv. deltaphilus as well. Did you collect these yourself?

    Hi.

I think it's the Rivulus isthmensis Las Vueltas but on the other hand I may be wrong but confirm it's a Rivulus...

    Hi

The collect did a friend, in Caracas, Venezuela. I have not been able to take them a better photo, They are very fast.

I think that they are not R. deltaphilus by the place of capture, In Caracas no in Delta.
R isthmensis, I do not think that be that

    Hi Jose,

If that's the case then they're most probably Rivulus hartii. I'm not sure if there's a population of hartii in Caracas itself. Would be advisable to ask Don Taphorn at the University of the Llanos in your home country. He seems to be an expert with native Venezuelan fishes.

For reference, Aqualog - New World Killies has pictures of Rivulus hartii that come from San Juan, Margarita Island and San Augustin in Venezuela. No pictures of any hartii from Caracas.

Sorry Jose but I don't know him personally. Since he's working at the University, and its in your own country I think you can find his contact yourself?

Most probably they are Rivulus hartii but until it is confirmed I'd suggest you call them Rivulus sp. "El Marques". By the way, what other killies do you have?

    Hi Jose,

Its worth getting in touch with Don Taphorn. He knows alot about Venezuelan killies. You'd learn alot about your native killies from him.
