    Hi all

From what I have heard Crypt. axelrodi can tolerate quite saline conditions. Is this true?

    Thanks

errr... i thought Crypt. axelrodi has already been subsumed within the wendtii complex?? Or were you thinking of C. ciliata, which is known to grow in estuaries?

Beats me Budak... I just want a nice plant to put in my Aphanius or Cyprinodon tank... other than Vallis and Java moss/fern.

I could think of small Anubias, Crypts (willisi, parva), Monosolenium tenerum, Echino. tenellus, hairgrass.... these do fine with fairly low light and no CO2 injection.

Would they tolerate about 2 tsp of salt per 4L? I guess I could take it down to 1 tsp/4L and boost the potassium and calcium. I think the water around here is pretty hard anyway.

    Thanks for the tips...

A real boost is that Aphanius and Cyprinodon are algae nibblers... :P
