I got a pair of Leporinus spp. (probably fasciatus or desmotes) and discover they are an excellent BBA eater. one pair completely cleared the minor BBA infestation on my wilting vals in a matter of days.

The the fish, only about 4cm and a relative of the cigarfish.

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

One note of caution. This species, along with the cigar fish (Anostomus ternetzi), can grow pretty big for a regular aquarium fish.
