    The other moss I found is not doing very well but I found this one today in my yard as I was trimming hedges. We've had enormous amounts of rain, lately, so I guess that contributed to the moss. It was next to the house, so an area that recieves shade.



    I hope this one will grow submersed. I pulled enough up to try both ways. We're getting to 39 degrees F. tomorrow night, so it may die outside.

    Deborah, I think the whole picture above would look good underwater...for
    maybe 5 minutes Seriously, are you going to train some on lava rock
    that is in a flat dish with water (like a plugged bonsai pot or drip catcher)? If you have a widemouth gallon jar you could invert over it to increase the humidity. Or a makeshift plastic "oxygen tent" might work. When the heat
    comes on in your house the humidity will drop quickly, unless you use
    humidifiers.
