hi, is this the plant you are looking for ?

Hi, folks,
I need your help. Someone asked me for an aquatic plant which he says does not have a scientific name. The plant is a fern but looks like a thin
bladed liverwort bundled together like a cauliflower. The plant body
is a large sheet of thallus.
The plant is needed for some scientific research. Anyone have any idea what plant is this?

Chee Yong,
I'm afraid that isn't the plant my friend is looking for. I'll appreciate you trying to help very much but I have to ask you if the picture is yours. If that is your tank, congratulations. You have a lovely tank and the plant is very beautiful. However, if the picture isn't yours, please let us know where it was taken from.

more importantly, WHERE CAN WE GET SOME OF THAT PLANT! :P :P :P
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Hi chee yong,
Can't seem to find it on the site you mentioned. Can you specific the page? Do you know what is the name of that plant? VERY TEMPTING to GET SOME.
Regards,
Ong Poh San
Hi Poh San,
Look under the new plant section in Tonina forrest. No name yet, even the Taiwanese haven't pinpoint the species. I think only a few people in Taiwan have this plant. If any one in Singapore have this plant, I will surely buy some from him.

I guess it will be in the U.S. by the time I'm 40?
Deborah
Deb, I bet it'll reach the States much earlier than that. Perhaps some US-based fellas of the APD may have had their hands on some of these plants via a trade or purchase from the Taiwanese.

Hi guys,
Seem like they have found out the name for this plant. Plagiomnium trichomanes or Plagiomnium sp.
Jack
I did a search on the web and this plant looks like a combination of liverwort and downoi in terms of appearance:

Of course, I have no idea what the words say
