maybe a little detail of your tank will be helpful.

are the plants pearling or is it just some air bubbles traped under the leaves when you planted them. cause i dun think plants will start pearling on the first day.

    Tank: 38cm x 24cm x 23cm ~20liter
Light: 1x9watt pl and 1x13watt pl
    CO2: DIY
    Temp: ~28 deg C
    KH: 4
    PH: ~6.8

Light, CO2 and low water surface turbulence too high flow rate. Try to avoid flow from filter outlet which flow direct to the plants.

Your light should be sufficient. So play around with the other two factors.

i think they are MU, nana, rotola, echinodous bleheri and carpet grass.

I use Sera nitravec to start.
Added Sera Nitravec for liquid fert.
got use substate but dunno wat brand.

Bro koon, wat u mean by controlling CO2?
    more CO2 or less??

    Thanks

Domzzz...do give time for your plants to settle in your tank first before they can up their photosynthesis rate. Usually, the initial photosynthesis rate is rather low so do not be so concern about bubbling.

    Hiya Domzzz

with a KH of 4 and PH at 6.8, you need to increase your CO2 input till the PH is around 6.5 to 6.6.

Think you light wattage of 22 to 20 litres of water is too little. Try to achieve a minimum of 3 watts to the gallon

chances are your plants were damaged and bubbles were escaping through the damaged epidermis
plants usually don't grow when first planted
    that'll take a few days

for actual bubbling to take place, you need to have enough o2 to be produced
this implies high carbon dioxide levels ,adequate nutrients and sufficient lighting
this is more easily achieved with low tank volume and fast growing plants

    David,
    I think you've made a mistake..... the tank is 20L = ~5 gallons.

    22W should be enough.
    Cheers!!

If you really mean the tank, try using an air pump

How much fishload did you add after first day?
Maybe the O2 produced by the plants just enough for the fish. No extra to bubble.

    Hi Domzzz

You mean there is no fish in the tank at the moment?....perhaps consider placing 2 small SAEs and about 6 Ottos to get your tank to complete the Nitrogen Cycle.

Please read the link below to get an understanding of the Nitrogen Cycle.

very funny...^^ but no, my plants don't bubble. during lights on, generally no water movement at all. still no bubbling. plants are growing though. so its just not getting saturated. co2 is pumped in like at 8bps through an external reactor.., basically everything fits a healthy tank profile. except no bubbling. probably the plant types..
