Hi Lance
Is this the whole tank or just a section?....with a white background can I safely say that its just the glass back where the light just bounced?
Hi folks,
what do you think of this aquascape. any suggestions on how to improve it?

shot with a Fujfilm S2 Pro digital SLR, 24mm lens. Lit using a hensel 1000w light as main light. a Nikon SB-26 is used as a kicker light here.

The title below my name does not make me a guru...listen at your own risk!...
it's just 1/5 of the whole tank. I used a white backdrop with light hitting from behind, so there won't be any shadows.
the small bright spots near the bottom are bubbles produced by riccia
any suggestions on how to improve it?
thats a nice 1/5 of the tank! but somehow the white backdrop makes it look kinda "unnatural"
how about pics of the whole tank?

ehh
ideally take the whole tank, or we can't see how the parts fit together
and i suggest you drop the backdrop thing, it's very harsh on the eyes
shadows are ok, imo
yup, I agree with DEA plus I think the backlight it way too bright, therefore able u to see the transparency of yr lotus.. we should see the whole tank then giving comments to yr tank.. see your foreground getting abit too dark... have you seen what amano's uses for his photography takings?
yes. he uses backdrops with blue tones gradually changing to me.
for me, i'm just using cheap mahjong white paper now for experimental. not bad for a 50 cents backdrop, i must say.
any other members here into using studio lights to light up your tanks for photography?
here's the overview
pls comment on my aquascaping
Very refreshing and spacious.
whats causing the blue streak in the back? is that a light you placed behind the tank?
